Just Wandering An Older Washington State City
Dayton, Columbia County, prides itself in its history both public and private. The school (first two images) was first organized, then consolidated in 1933. The school building as seen in downtown Dayton, WA, was built in 1900. Yes, the original location was in Smith Hallow. Upon arriving downtown in 2011, it became a museum. The one-room classroom has been re-created along with other artifacts.
